Title: Some combination moves on Talon UL
Post by: hawkerhunter on November 29, 2013, 08:10 AM
Greetings from the UK and hope you all had a great thanksgiving celebration. I just posted this video up on my FB and thought I would share with you guys. Just practicing getting some better flow and content into my combinations and also keeping the kite in frame which isn't easy. Its quite relaxing to view so put your feet up and I hope you enjoy it.

Nice flying Steve.  Thats one kite I didn't get along with myself.  One small tip for you though other than the ever present more slack tip, smooth out your inputs so they flow rather than pop.  I notice some spots where you didn't give the kite the smooth pull to coax it around for what  you want it to do and IIRC the talon likes really smooth inputs, especially the UL. NOw all you need is to cut that vid down for a VF entry :P

Thanks for your comments gents. VF Anthony? Now that's a whole new ball game. Firstly I need a couple more tricks in the bag to add some variety to the entry. The other thing is keeping the routine going for the duration 1 1/2 minutes I think. I'm hoping in the next 12 months to have backspin cascades, axel cascades and tazs in the bag so then I might be ready to have a go. Some of the jerks you notice in the flying was me struggling with the wind which kept dying on me but I do take on board all your comments which are greatly appreciated. Thanks for watching it and I'm glad you liked it.
 :) :)

Nah Hawk, your good enough to enter.  Hell my first entry was just some slides an axel and a decent lazy all in frame and that last one is the hardest trick of all LOL.  It's something I personally to do for fun and to help keep me challenging myself to get better.

Just remember, low wind flying is like a waltz or ballet.  Some steps are small some are big leaps but they all flow smooth and graceful :)
