Title: Caribbean Gem Twenty Ten
Post by: benjai on April 01, 2010, 12:29 PM
I just returned from a vacation in the caribbean. The wind was bad the whole time at 20 to 40 kph (about 15 to 30mph), so I didn't get much useful flying in. I did get dragged around by my foil a bit, but tearing abdominal muscles quickly gets boring... Eventually, on the penultimate day in fact, there was about an hour and a half where the wind wasn't too bad and I figured I had to get some footage. I honestly didn't expect much, and so I'm quite pleased to have put together anything at all.

So, here's my latest. The flying was a bit limited, but there were a couple of tricks that seemed to fall into place a little. Anyhow, here's Caribbean Gem Twenty Ten.

Enjoy…

Wow, very nice.  The wind, the sand, the sunshine-looks like a good time.  Thanks for daydream Benjai.

What is a Gem Twenty Ten.  I went to the Benson Bros sit and couldn't find it.
Thanks
Jim

Just a Gemini on a Caribbean holiday in the year 2010.
Nice video Ben.  ;)

Thanks for the nice comments guys.

For reference, this Gemini is basically to the current specification EXCEPT, that it has the older structil frame, not the new Skyshark one. The new frame makes the current Gem even more responsive and a little less flexible (mind you, I like a bit of flexibility when I tip-stab as you can see at a couple of points in the video!).

Glad you all liked it...

Dude, that was so inspiring. I love that video. The vibe from the music and the scenery is awesome.

Great flying there too.

Cheers,

Fun video to watch and great flying ... virtual vacation 15.  8) The flying is better than I get at home, but the beer tasted the same!  :o

With summer fading this is a great example of why we fly.
