Title: Is this going to be easier for me?
Post by: skykbass on June 06, 2010, 09:54 PM
I have acquired the dual-line addiction, since I started flying an old-school, spyro-jet kite that was my mother's. I live in Indiana, and since I don't have the winds of the coasts, I bought a 4-d. I flew the spyro for 3 months acquiring the basic flight skills. I've had the 4-d for about a month, and have had it out in some decent winds that bulleted it around the sky making me glad I didn't buy a Micron! I have decent side-slides, and can turtle the 4-d, but it seems really touchy.

I have an E3 on the way, and I guess my question is... Will I be able to learn to trick easier with a full size, than a superlight?

I wouldn't fly the 4D in anything over 4MPH. It's a very light kite.

Bigger, slower kites can make some things easier, but a full size kite with the low wind range of a 4D would be expensive. The E3 and 4D are a very good combo. You'll go far.

The E3 will definitely take you to new heights.  ;)

You'll enjoy your new E3.  I have two, one in Citrus and one in graphite.  Both look great in the sky.
