Invictus 318g. Non Ikarex, 5pt LS and pultruded 6mm carbon for the rest.

I'm sorry but, I'm not the best pilot;)

Sorry?

I like your asymmetric panel layout on the Invictus.

Nice of you also to show that you don't HAVE to use expensive Icarex and expensive spars to get a capable kite. Well done.

Very nice to hear kind words;) I used cheap parts because this is my first kites built and easier to get rid of things cheaper than the more expensive;)

Don't appologize for lack of flying skill.  We all were there once.  ONe thing you need to look at though is when you change the frame specs you change the balance of the kite.  Some lack of performance can be attributed to that. JUdging from a couple things I See in your vid you may have shifted the balance point too much to the nose.

I think everything has a meaning.
Flying skills are very important.
Frame and changes in it have a large impact. Sail material is not as important.
Invictus is very sensitive to changes, vortex much less. I think so.

Looks good but I still say your a bit nose heavy.  try adding 3-5 gm to the tail or going to a 4mm US

Thanks for your feedback. I try move the balance point too the tail.

Yea watching both vids I see the same issue.  The nose wants to hang low in most tricks.  If you used 6mm for the US try a 5mm or 4mm.  ITs not off much but enough to be noticable.  Nose low in axels even though plenty of slack is given and it should be slightly nose high from watching Davide fly.

Congratulations on your first kite build.

Panel layout and colours on the Invictus look good, having asymmetric panel layout adds a degree of difficulty to get the panels in the right order (dark colours to the front).

I found the Invictus to be easy at roll up type tricks so may I suggest trying front flip yoyo's and Two Pop Roll,  Randy Greenway has some video tutorial to get you going.
One trick best left is the Flic Flac as the kite has a tendency to over rotate in the nose away position.

Good stuff. Thanks for sharing. Its fun flying a kite you built. Nice job on them both.
Your Vortex appears to fly the same as the few I've built. I wouldn't suggest you change anything. But that's just my opinion.  ;)
