It hasn't as yet reached my pathetic hands, and I do hope, that in time, I will be able to give Lam's latest creation it's just due......Probably another ten years of flailing and maybe,..............just maybe    :-[ :-[ :-[  Reports of the testing from the Master indicate it is a pure flying machine.

We can't wait

Jim

OK, spill the beans... what does 3.2 mean ? 3.2 meters ? I absolutely need one if that's the case. Especially if the wind range is 2-40mph !   ???

You would have to ask Lam that question, Rob......The last Transformer was a 3.5 and I know the Fearless is larger...........I don't know anything about the titles or designations, just that I like trying to fly them......and again, I CAN"T WAIT!  Windrange, according to Lam is low-medium, so I figure that means 2 to at least 20mph.

It looks great!

But it doesn't look 3.2 meters. That would be over 10 feet. Also, SUV? Super Ultra(light?) Vented? (Sports Utility Vehicle?)

I believe it means Super Vented.  There are 10 vents total.

I hope I have the intestinal fortitude to put it in the air and risk the unfathomable.

This shot should give you a better look at the vents and their placement.
It is a full size kite, but it's the same kite as your red light vented, Rob, except for framing, weight, bridle, vents, and various other things, the knowledge of which I will probably never be told nor would understand if I was.   ::)

I'd guess that it's about 2.3 metres

Have you seen this kite in the 'flesh' so to speak?

That's his standard Yo-Yo stopper also on the kite. Dull points now on the first two then the smaller track follows. VERY KOOL. Never seen him place vents on the central lower portion of the kite on both sides of the NOSE of the Fearless Face. He is also experimenting with vents on the SUL. To create a smoother ride with a sudden wind increase ... his mindset seems to be here right now  :D :D :D. Plan to order a SUL VENT in September.

Fearless SUL & Transformer SUL ... no that low ... Tattoo ... that kite should not be touched?

I didn't even know Lam was still making the SUL that wasn't a Tattoo......got one of those-even with the shiny leading edges.....one of the early ones I am told.

Also got the Transformer Vented SUL 2.3 ........whatever that designation means.....I assumed it meant a 2 upper leading edge and a 3 lower...at least that's what I (she, the wife..........she owns transformers and I am Fearless) have.

It is the sweetest flyer ever.  Lam told me it would go up to 15 MPH no problem and with the weird winds we get at KIte Hill.......I have already had gusts to 10 and it has been unaffected......Is there no end to Lam's madness?  I hope not!

So many kites... I really like the looks of the all white Sea Devil SUL (Sea Angel ?) posted recently. Now the FearDevil... I'm going to have to find something to sell so I can afford some new Lam kites.

That you should, Rob.......be warned though that any Lam kite in your possession is a treasure with it's own personalilty and there hasn't been one yet that I've owned, I haven't liked, or another kite made by anyone else that is in anyway superior to Lam's .......just different..........

sorta like us....just people and flyers...............kinda different in the same way ???
