Title: Aerostar Stryke fighter kite
Post by: Jason Winter on August 26, 2012, 05:48 PM
I flew one of these for the first time last weekend. There is an adjustment on the back that adjusts the bow of the spine. It seems that the more bow there is the more stabe and less spinny the kite is but also seems to have less drive.

Is this the case and is there anything else that adjusting the bow will affect?

Nope, that's the purpose. As the wind picks up and the kite gets hard to handle, more bow will calm it down. Bridle adjustment is also doable, but touchy. Angle of attack, like any kite, pull, lift, spin, etc.

Jason, come to the next Kite Party.
It's been years since you were there.
We can have a Stryke fighter group fly.

Very stable position, not as much fun to fly.

I'd love to come again one day John. I'd love to fly in Chile too, and Brazil and Malaysia and Borneo and India and Indonesia and China.  :) One day. I should probably start to do something about it otherwise another 5 years will pass...................
