Maybe too fast?

From the review, "I have not measured the kites dimensions, but its a full sized kite, although not overly large."

It's pretty close to the same size as a Fearless, but the different sail shape makes it look larger - sail is deeper as well.

Can you compare it to something other then a lam kite?

It's Nirvana sized (FE).

I'm not comfortable measuring and posting those details (mostly for fear of measuring them wrongly) - they will appear on Sky Sports website soon enough.

It’s safe to say that you either love it, hate it, or are more indifferent...

It's safe to say that this statement is either incredibly deep, meaningless, or something in between.

Have you flown one of Lam's kites before?

Have you flown one of Lam's kites before?

Bit of a non sequitur*, but no, I've not had the privilege.

(*The quote was referring to Lam's signature face appliqué.)

That's actually why I was asking if you had flown one before.  A little over a year ago, I swore I would never own one because I didn't like the eyes.  Then, last March, I flew John Farrell's FVL.  Immediately I connected with the kite and the eyes gave me some odd type of connection to the kite.  I now own 3 of his kites and have sold off pretty much everything else.  I think of it like Notre Dame, Nebraska, etc fans.  You either love the team, hate the team, or are totally indifferent.  Right?  :-)

I will have mine at Treasure Island this January.

A little over a year ago, I swore I would never own one because I didn't like the eyes.

My feelings are similar. I don't know if I hate the eyes, but I don't care for them. I'm rather new to any kites trickier than the Quantum (quite a low bar to clear). I already have a long list of kites in mind that I'm itching to fly. (And tricks I'm itching to learn.) I'm not a skilled flier, and I don't own (and haven't flown) a lot of kites. I'd wager I wouldn't know a truly great kite from one that's just acceptable. And while some folks may swear up and down that Lam's are the best, I can tell -- even if that were objectively true -- that there are a number of still-very-good alternatives to choose from. I won't ever own them all, and almost certainly won't get to try them all. So if I'm put off by the appearance, I won't make the investment to  buy one.

Now, if I happen to be at an event where someone lets me try out one of Lam's kites, I might be convinced just like you. I'm sure they do fly wonderfully. I trust the word of the skilled fliers around here, especially when they gush over a kite. I just doubt I'd even notice at my skill level. Maybe I'm wrong, though.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I like the eyes. It give the kite personnality.  ;D

I'm very excited about this version. Looks like a better match for my skills and personal taste. I like a kite that has percision. Flew circles for 20 years before starting tricks last year.  :)

The fearless and transformer seem way over my head based on videos of others flying them.

Looking forward the Santa's visit this year.  8)
