Never saw this one before - I was surprised what a turtle once was.

thanx tom that was the first vid i found when i started not so long ago.. i live fairly close to the redondo pier  the vid was an eye opener for a new guy !!

I think they were able to do these tricks but didn't really understand what they were doing.

There is some good flying in there even by todays standards.

That's from a training tape that Spectra Sports included with some of their kites.

I think I have a couple of copies floating around.

Scott was (is) a great flyer.

Trick descriptions were highly variable, to say the least, back then.

And I have no recollection of anything called a Turtle looking like that. I know that Helicopter has been used and re-used but that's a new one on me.

Otherwise, quite a nice historical document.
