Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I like the concept.

The point of the kite looks like it could poke a hole in steel.  Huh

Very nice!
Did you use any existing open kite design to design yours? Magnet, SixthSense, ...
It looks to me a bit Magnetish... but I could be wrong.

I flies really well and the video is an excellent demo of the kite and of your flying capabilities!
I really enjoyed it.

More questions. How did you get the face of the bird on the sail? Are all pieces different parts of the sail layout that are sewn as usual? Painted them or parts of them such as the eyes and details of the beak? By glueing/sewing pieces of sail material on the main sail?
Cheers!

hi

the freak-shape is my own design - no open kite design, just my own Smiley - all pieces are icarex except the white is airx - there is nothing painted - like in any other well done kite Smiley the black borders are spinnaker-repair-tape sewed on.

By the way, you should warn all "pigs" around you before starting to fly!  Wink

I really like how the eyebrows "hide" the upper spreader.

Was that coincidence or intended.

Great effect.

eyebrowns/upper spreader are planned - it was no accident Wink - before doing the template i draw the design on a 3d-folded kite shaped paper to see the 3d effect and to see how it all works out - itīs no problem to do it on the computer as well, but itīs less creative work Smiley i like to do a sketch or draw a picture - all handmade fun
