Nirvana FX reframe with P200's

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

Hi all,
I have an NFX the nylon version with 6m structil frame) that I am considering reframing like the sport version with P200's.

Just wondering if someone had the frame specs that they could post for me (I'm assuming it uses 5PT lower spreaders?, not sure what the upper spreader should be in this case.)

The sport version isn't framed in P200 - it has single-piece 6mm Structil leading edges and P200 lower spreaders.  The NFX Extend is the same, except it has P300 lower spreaders.

thanks for that. So as far as the frame goes, the only difference between the NFX and NFX "Sports" is the lower spreaders changeto P200's

(Of course the sail goes from Nylon to Icarex).

Not sure if the bridle etc are the same....

Edit: Other differences include in-built ballast (about 15g) and yoyo stoppers.

I think the bridle might be different.  Also check that the 6mm in your kite looks like Structil because the cheaper kite might get generic carbon instead.  Just a thought.
