Some of the Chico Kite Fliers will be heading for Marina Green the 27th for a day of flying. Anyone care to join us?

Hmm, that's two days before I get to town...

Out of curiosity, for someone who won't have a car available, what's the best way to get from Fisherman's Wharf to either Marina Green or Crissy Field?

I'm going to be around from Monday-Thursday, and I'm debating bringing a couple of kites with me.  I don't want to necessarily go through the hassle if I'm not going to be able to easily get to a field, though.

Looks like I'll be there around noon.

No idea if there will be room to fly. Maybe Ocean Beach as an alternate?

Sounds good. Ocean Beach was our alternate plan.
We'll leave here between 6:00 and 7:00. We should be there by 10:00.

Its not far from Fisherman's Wharf to Marina Green. A mile or two. Crissy Field is at Marina Green. There's bus and lite rail service.

Rent a scooter, bike or walk. When we were on the trail at Fort Mason we were looking right down at the warf, thought maybe we should just walk on down rather then drive and fight/pay parking, We were right, coulda' walked it faster then the drive & park. Real nice paved trail runs right next to the bay from the warf through the the Maritime Park, up along the cliff at Fort Mason where you'll find some nice hilly fields on the west side then just two blocks to Marina Green, Crissy Field is just past that. There are also some decent sized beaches right there too but I don't know about access.

We saw a bunch of the rent a scooters on the trail that day and it's very scenic.

Hmm, looks like the 30 bus to the 22 bus would get me there, too.

I may have to bring the Talon and Hydra out to the west coast, then! Smiley  Now to see if I can squeeze them into the Zephyr hard case.
