Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

If you ever meet Ray, use caution on the handshake. Not only is he tremendously strong, he's an Aussie and does the macho thing where if you squeeze he'll squeeze harder. It's like you'll never get your hand back.  Huh

Of course, I haven't shook Ray's had since he was a youthful 75, so ten years later he may not be as strong, but I doubt it. He's an amazing guy.

If you ever meet Ray, ... he's an Aussie

No he isn't.  He's a long time Canadian resident, although I believe his country of birth was the UK

Born February 2, 1928 in South Halifax, England.

Glad that is solved.  After watching his videos, I thought Ray was born on another planet.  Cheesy

A few years ago I was flying at a local beach, when Ray Bethell brought out his kites. It's hard to describe his flying, even amazing, doesn't cover it. People on the beach and board walk stopped in took in the experience.

Some numskull, set up next to Ray and promptly tangled up one of his kites.
