Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I just received a Sky Burner Freestylist, it was suppose to come with Yo Yo stoppers but the kite didnt come with them, the wings are marked and drilled for them but the kite didnt have them, I sent Sky Burner an email and they responded the same day and said they would send me a set. personally I have no experience with them and have read on this forum that many dont use them. Whats your experience with them and how/why do they benefit ?

Until you start working on doing yoyos, you don't need them.

Im assuming you will be doing yoyos...

I prefer them over the rollbars... Rollbars can easily pop out of the trailing edge of the sail unless theyre protected...and even then its wear and tear and Im still learning finesse - so Im always afraid theyre gonna snap when I perform recoveries..

You don't need them until your doing rollups, so it would just be another thing for your lines to catch on. Angry

Then its a big day when your reach the level to install them. Still remember when I reached that point and installed the yoyo stoppers on my Shadow.  Good memories.  Wink

I have roll bars on my Talon and DS.  I like them better. Easier to get out of line wraps and easier to catch during roll ups.  But then again I don't have the best skills in the world.  Cheesy

I think Im still 'learning' to appreciate them...I have them on my Talon...but not on my SuperFly....they popped out quite often on my Charisma - but I learned to secure them properly and they havent popped since

They also appear to be very secure on my Talon
