Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

First day of Fall 2014'.  Got a chance to practice,practice,practice... Half Axel Landings. The Beach was peaceful.  I did a quick intro. I let my camera video ten minutes of some of the beach scenes for Winter.  Cheesy After I left the beach.. I downloaded my camera watched some video and needed to go Back...  It was that kind of day... That is in the second video.  Half Axels landings looking good.  SSSooo many I missed and sooo close...  Took hours to cut up clips.  I started to land on the Wing Tip late in the day...  Computer trashed out last week.  Windows 8 is pain to learn.

One video shows the Zoom power of the camera.  The zoom is on Downtown Detroit. The Building is the General Motors Bldg. (aka Renaissance Bldg.) the distance is 16 miles away. There is a day time Zoom and I repeated it when I returned later in the day.)

The videos are long, but it was a long day...Enjoy !!! or pass em' by.

Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh I counted the number of landings 52/53...   Since I did at least one wrong for every right... A lot of them just landed on backside.  I had to have done 125 all day... Lips sealed Lips sealed  Obsessive practice... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes That did look better as the day went on... A lot better than the last video of Half Axel Landings.  Want to be able to just stick... also those Wing Tip landings... Undecided Undecided

Practice is the only way to get it right.  Smiley

There will be a moment when those landings are going to be just like a reflex.
