Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Under Kite Land Events there is a child board entitled Club News.

As far as who is associated with what.. I suppose people could put that information in their signature or on their profile page.

I just thought id throw the idea out there of perhaps adding a small section about kite Clubs and or organizations ...each kite club people are affiliated with ... like for instance Wings over Washington Kite Club ( just an example any kite club will work ..) being the  topic and people affiliated with or have flown with, leave posts in there so people can get affiliated with people in other areas ... If your going to a kiting event ... and its your first one ... you would want to at least be able to chat with someone from the group to get more info about the event .. especially if its an event that's been around a while .... and it would help new people in kiting find someone to connect with and perhaps talk with local kiter's not known in there area ...
