One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

We had a nice breeze and mild temps (low 30's) this afternoon and with the leafs gone, the wind smooths out a bit coming across the field. It won't be long before the lakes are frozen and there is a lot of open area for a good fly. So, to work off some of the holiday excesses a little workout was in order. Out came a couple of Hawaiians for a bit of arm pullin'  Smiley Smiley Smiley

It's a real hand-full flying and taking pics at the same time with one of these on the end of the line  Smiley Shocked Smiley
All in all, too much fun on a late fall day !!!

Use a 18 inch piece of broom handle so you can fly it one handed while you take a pic.  Thats a tip I got from CHileese.  Course with a Hawaiian thats still a tall order since the full size pull like a freight train in a good wind.

I must say, I really enjoy these kites. No pretense here, just straight forward flying. Forget about tricks, just fly with grace and power.  Smiley Smiley Smiley
