OK, I think I'm starting to get some nice results and I wanted to share them with you...

FW Soul Practicing Fades, JLs, Lazies, Rolling Suzan, etc.

Nothing too great but for me is a few good steps forward.

(As always, better in HD mode & full screen)

AAGGHHH...the Sun!!..... Wink

You have the basics of a lot of good tricks in there, you just need a bit more practise to clean them up.  You're certainly coming on quicker than I did!  Multi JL's are just a matter of getting into a rhythm, that said the Soul isn't as easy as some of my other kites to do them on. Have you tried roll up's yet? the Soul just loves doing those!

Managed to get one very untidy rung of a Comete the other day! (at least I think it was).

Another thing I've found with the Soul, if the kite feels like there isn't enough wind rather than shortening the uphauls towards the low wind position try adjusting away from the nose - making the uphauls longer- and you might find it flies better.  It seems to like to fly better with the nose quite far back.

I envy you that sunshine ( and the beach) we've had cloud and rain and a forecast of winds to 70mph tomorrow!! Sad .....oh well, Delta Hawk day!

Looks like you're dressed for "winter"  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Now, we are having "cold" here the next few days, temps in the - 0 range.
But, that makes for ice on the lakes and more of those frozen flying fields... Smiley Smiley Smiley
Nice flying by the way.....

I just can't reconcile the winter weather clothing with the palm trees in the opening title shot. Are those trees on your beach?

Some massive improvements there Narcis, well done. Weve spoken alot on FB so I dont need to repeat it all. Just keep plugging away. I cant believe that we both  made a movie one week apart. I was in England flying in a T shirt and your in Spain with an arctic coat on. Love it Smiley

Thanks everyone!
Gee! I got a lot of work to answer you all!   Smiley

@Vert: Thanks for the compliments. Concerning the music, the two last videos I did with music I got them blocked in many countries due to copyright of the music...  Sad
So I'm not too keen on putting music now.

@Hadge: Yes I know you British vampires can't stand the sun  Wink
But darn, you have such beautiful lawns to fly on!
Congrats for the Comete but we need a video.
Concerning the bridle adjustment of the Soul, several things:
1. How the H*ll did you know I had it in the uppermost pigtail?  Shocked
2. Today I tried it in the third pigtail and couldn't do any of the tricks I did yesterday and that came out in the video!  Huh
I must admit the wind yesterday was excellent and today was quite cr*ppy but nonetheless... I then readjusted to the second and was able to fly decently...

@whitebirdlover: Yes I know I look crazy in that coat when you fly in Santa's kingdom!
Every time I see your pictures with the frozen lake I drool and think. "What a beautiful place! I'd like to visit it sometime." But I can't imagine myself flying there regularly... I am not made for cold weather.
Now, the coat does look drastic but it is really not that thick and the hood is only to stop the wind from chilling my neck and getting a flue.

@Tmadz: Yes I know those palm trees do clash with the winter setting, but that's what the Mediterranean is about. Those palms are indeed on the sand. We have only very few, but you must be aware that Barcelona is at the same latitude as NY!!! The Mediterranean makes it a warmer place but we still get easily to down to 0ºC in winter at the beach.

@alien: Thanks for comparing me with such a great flyer. But poor Lam that you have diminished his great abilities to a small fraction by confusing him with me....!  Huh

@hawkerhunter: Steve, yes all that FB talk is helping me tons! So thanks again. And yes, the weather is a funny thing. But what has happened is far from strange. When you get bad weather (low-pressure), we get good weather (high-pressure), which is actually most of the time  Wink and when we get the low-pressures that means the high-pressures are way up there in the UK (or the Netherlands)  Cheesy

So again thanks to all!

I had the same problem with the music issue so now I just edit the film on utuibe and add the music from utube files. Saves all the hastle and they have some good tracks to choose from.

True, we're not use to it at this time of year, mostly cloudy wet and windy.

Sadly the lawns ( and sports fields) are covered in mud at the moment! Sad

No Chance! It's the first semi successful attempt I've had out of many many attempts!...maybe when I've had more practise Wink

Pure lucky guess on the Soul, moving it back a knot has sometimes worked for me, but mine is an older version with a bit more adjustment ( may have been fitted by the previous owner).

Had 40-60mph winds today  Huh.  Went out with a kite I'd made myself - basically a 100cm 60% sized Delta Hawk, half the pull and twice the speed! really crazy speed! Good fun! I've called it Li'l Frankie - as in Frankenstein-  as it's green, not very pretty and made of dismembered parts of several dead, broken (cheap) kites I had in the garage. Cheesy

I have never had the chance to try a soul kite but been probably one of the best designs from Bell Chiu I'm sure is a great kite.

Nice job with the tricks.  Smiley
