Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Skin on Frame Kayak.  Plans completed. Based on Tom Yost design. 17' from bow to stern and 20.5" beam.  I've also got a 15ft multi-chine model on the drawing board.

yes, when it really comes down to it, my hobby is really anything I can work on myself! (and I too have more than a few projects in the works at any given time).

Regarding the Kayak, I haven't made up my mind regarding the fabric, but I'm leaning towards 840 Denier Ballistic Nylon (which is labeled as 9oz/yard) and 2 part urethane finish (from Corey Freedman's Skin Boat store).

The Kayak looks like fun!  If we lived closer to water the kids would love it.  Built them a swing set and playhouse instead Smiley
