Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The stated "Wind Range" on my kite is 2 - 30 MPH. Why am I having so much trouble flying it at 18 MPH?

With that wind range you obviously have a variable vented SUL.  Open the vents before you break those 2PTs!  Huh

Wind range endpoints explained:

Low end - you''ll risk cardiac arrest running to keep the kite in the air at or below this wind speed
High end - The frame will fold, sail will shred, and bridle will snap at or above this wind speed
Sweet spot - You can sit in a lawn chair and fly the kite in these winds. Seldom seen wherever you are

YMMV  Cheesy

We might consider broadening the interest base by combining with freestyle yo-yo.  That should get the public interested.  Roll Eyes  A whole new sports class "string events".

Answered!

Hi Mr. O.

Hello Allen.  I pop in once every 3-4 months or so. Still flying foils and kite land boarding but my dualies haven't seen much of the light of day for a few years now saving the time we spend on the Cape during the summer.
