Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

...Somehow I missed out on the beginnings of the naming convention, and it's been puzzling me for months now, so I have to ask...
What does A, V and F in say: 'AVFFF' mean?

I guess I don't understand how you missed THIS

np,

You're right.  The forum log-in time reports that in the last nearly 5 years I have spent nearly 5 days reading its postings, and somehow I overlooked the middle of that thread.
...Should have hung on in until at least page 3 with the discussion of the name...

Well that's a perfect setup for LaDole, which basically is a rolled up WapDooWap.

Yes. Kareloh.

Here I'm trying the LaDole. Not perfect yet in this video

Almost a Ladole

The video clearly shows you can run forward much faster than backward.  I guess that would be the case for 99.877% of mankind, which easily explains why only the remaining fraction can fly a LaDole.

Hi JayDee.

Now that I've studied the video I'm pulling to late to recover from the back-spin. Another thing I want to try is to recover from the back-spin pulling only the opposite hand that started it. This should unroll the kite and kill the momentum from the back-spin.

my next video will reveal the result.
