One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Brand new to kite repair!

My girlfriend has a Seraph Dance kite that is missing any connector on the center spar. I've been (politely) tasked with fixing it. I've been looking at replacement connectiors (dihedrals) but the angle doesn't seem right for this kite. To me it looks like I would need a dihedral with a hole 90 degres to the norm to begin to even work. Does anyone have experience with the Seraph Dance and does it use a standard connector I can get or is this something unique to this kite?

From the pictures I've seen the kite lays flat when put together. For a view of the angle see http://www.funwithwind.com/ContentPlus/instructions/Instructions-SeraphDance.pdf

Thank you so much for your help!

The Seraph Dance is manufactured by New Tech Kites, one of the sponsors of this forum.  Try clicking on the link to the right of this page and contact them via their website

Thanks for the quick reply. I already tried contacting them twice and I've had no response.

Assuming you are in the US, sometimes phone is a better contact method for NTK than email.

I had to contact them before as well. Try to call and get a live person. Even though kite shops generally have great customer service, the manufacturers sometimes lack it. Best bet is to call. I have that kite and it is probably a custom piece. Hopefully they have an extra piece in a bin somewhere. I was out of luck finding a piece to fix a discontinued kite.

On a side note, it is a Robert Brasington licensed design. If all else fails, contact him and maybe he could get you some help or info. He's an Aussie.

I can't find one to even look at . We produced less the 200 and after slow sales discontinued it. We sold the last piece in 2009. What it looks like is a nosepiece drilled through like we use on some butterflies. PM me your address and I'll mail you what we've got.

Thank you all so much for your responses and thanks for the help rncembal! I actually tried calling before seeing the last reply. I spoke with NTK, they were very helpful and they're going to work with me on figuring this out. I'm near Austin so I'll be able to drop it off for some measurements.

Look forward to reading the GWTW forum in the future.
