Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

My dear friends,
Recent revelations in the course of a medical checkup leave me with dealing with unexpected circumstances. No need to go into details, it wouldn't change anything. I just want to express my sincere gratitude for all the kindness and considerations I have experienced from members of this forum.....
Good winds always.....

Sorry to hear your having medical issues.  I can understand you not wanting to post details but you have my wishes for a  good recovery and good winds while you can enjoy them.  Here's to hoping the Docs are wrong or can help you.

Am sorry to hear of your troubles.  Good health is central to just about everything.  Don't know what it is but do get as much kite therapy as you can  Smiley

Best,
Steve

Hi Anthony,

I'm sorry to hear of unexpected medical circumstances. Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery and, as Steve said, plenty of kite therapy in the process!

Good winds to you, Anthony.

I hope kites will help your healing. I know they have for me.

Sorry to hear it Anthony. I hope whatever it is passes quickly. Kite flying has to be good therapy. Fresh air. Sunshine. How could that not help your mental attitude/recovery?

There are moments, with a blue sky, a smooth wind, and a kite in your view, when an almost indescribable peace, and the simple pleasure of bearing witness, is a joy unto itself. May you find this feeling soon, and often.

So, a month has passed since I was told I had "occluded carotid arteries" the downside to that is that at any time they could close off or a chunk of crud could break loose and we all know what happens when the brain dosen't get any or not enough blood. Not a good thing. Health care kicks in on March 1st. so that's a good thing. So, again, I am so grateful for all the support on every level that this community of kiters provides. I decided that I wanted to know where kites that I've had a feel for would end up should something unexpected come up and have found good homes for much of what I care about. Love flying the Hawaiians and just picked up a piece from the '91 Flight Squadron's team line up that's a real beauty.
Thanks again for all the good thoughts....... Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

Hey Anthony,  here's a pic of one of your kite's brothers (or sisters, if kites have a gender).  Smiley  I have some heavy line coming in the post for it, but man, I am honestly intimidated by the prospect of having myself drug across the field.  To your health my friend.

Know a little about impeded blood supply to the brain. If you need a sympathetic ear you know how to reach me.
