Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Is your lower leading edge line longer or shorter than the upper leading edge line?

It is the same as yours, so it is longer.

What wind speed are you trying to fly in?

5-8 mph but it was in my backyard so that wasn't the best place to try it...... I may have had wind coming from behind the kite as well as the wind on my back
Oh and I was using 18' 50# line set

Sorry to be so late with this. My stock Zephyr's bridal is:
upper out haul, leading edge to low wind knot = 18 inches
low wind knot to high wind knot = 1 3/4 inches
lower out haul, high wind  knot to leading edge = 18 1/2 inches
in haul, spine to tow point pig tail = 20 1/2 inches

I mostly fly with the adjustment half way between the high wind knot and the low wind knot.

Oh, btw the in haul on the Zephyr does not attach to the spine at the T fitting.  It attaches a little lower down through a small hole in the spine reinforcement.

Try flying the kite in an open space using longer lines. I have used 50', 65', 85', and 100' lines, and the kite flies fine.
