One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

I'd rather watch my own flying at the beach - vacation next week.    We'll be at a popular wind surfer and kite surfer beach, but half the days are usually suitable for sul to standard dual line tricking and the surfer days suitalbe for vented Revs.

Getting back to the original point of the thread I think it was more about entertainment. Whilst competition flying is technical and top notch. It's perhaps not as entertaining as freestyle. I guess I have to agree with what was originally said.
Sometimes they lack the WOW factor. (don't get me wrong, I'm only a noob and crap compared to most pilots) BUT............
Personally I can't get enough of the video below. (sorry only a link, don't know how to attach the video)
