Trip:

I've only been flying for about a year and just purchased a Prism Quantum for my start in dual line flying. I live in East Texas (Lindale), where the wind is either non-existent or gusting to 25mph. But, I make do.

I lurked for a while and decided to introduce myself. I've already gleaned a lot of info off you pros on the forum. I'm having a blast learning the in's and out's of stunt kite flying. Looking forward to becoming a part and learning more in the future.

TGunn:

Welcome Trip! I'm from Wichita Falls, TX (North Central Texas). There's a kite fest in east Texas this coming weekend. here's the info. Also, if you want to start learning more about flying, I suggest that you try and attend a few kite festivals. I maintain the web page Kite events calendar for the region (AR, LA, NM, OK, TX). Here's that link:

Food, Jump houses, snow cones, old cars, airplanes, bol races, large small kite field, large ground display pieces. to many vendors to mention. A beautiful flying venue.
