Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The lakes make great winter flying fields and it'll be a while before the ice goes out this year. Temps hit the low 40's this afternoon with a nice breeze late in the day. A good chance to dust off a kite and enjoy the fresh air.

And, while it'll be nice to feel a warm breeze, I'll miss winter's Azure skies Wink

Nice!  How thick is that ice?

We could hit 50 today!  We wore winter as a badge of honor this year.  Of course it wore and wore and wore ....

What looks like ice in the pics is only a thin layer of refreeze of meeting snow cover. I'll be checking in with ice fishing folks for an actual thickness. The deep snow cover has slowed the melting from below that happens from penetrating sun rays.

Oh, yeah, that would also require sunshine..... Cool

We're headed for the low 60's today..... Smiley Smiley Smiley
