One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

Your really teaching her to fly. Huh Huh  Tossing her around doing all the tricks you've been doing all Winter.  Nice job of transitioning your skills. Undecided I flew Saturday wind was sucky Sad I had Std and Ul and had to go back and forth.  Then it went up to 14mph.  I was done.  I don't like high wind.  Embarrassed Embarrassed

Can't get my timing right with lousy wind is a pain. Skipped the beach because of high wind.  Last night wind was gusting from 30-40 mph.. But have calmed down.  We are finally are getting warm weather.   Tongue Tongue Tongue

Keep up the good work.  That Widow is worth every penny.  Cheap at that... But your ready for the
   Widow Maker colorizer .... http://www.skyburner.com/widow.html

Call him and work a deal... He may have one used for sale... Or lay away... That is what I do.  I always put some money down  and pay over a period of time.  Then when I pay it off... It feels cheaper.
Then the problem is Std. or Ul ( always something  Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Undecided Undecided Smiley Smiley Wink

I flew a premier widow NG yesterday for the first time. Being a Widowmaker flyer it was interesting to see the similarities and differences between the two kites. For the money, the Widow NG is a great deal. I wish I had bought this as my first kite.

The first thing I noticed is that it has a sort of choppiness to it that you don't feel when you fly a Widowmaker. I think it is because it is a heavier kite. However, when I was doing the Jacobs Ladder it actually came easier for me on the Widow NG because it gets into the turtle easier with the extra mass. I liked how it had good precision and trickability. Half Axels are smoother on the WM and the I am definitely biased from flying the WM for last the year.

Overall, I would have to say that I was very impressed by the Widow NG and would recommend it to new flyers looking for a good kite, but not wanting to invest too much money early on.

Hi  drmndrew82:

I've never flown the Widow Maker so I can't compare  Sad

What I can say is that the kite felt just right  Smiley after flying it for the first time.

I also agree that the Widow NG is Perfect for someone who wants to learn Tricks with a kite really capable of doing them at a reasonable price.
Jon Trennephol and Wayne Brunjes designed this kite with that in mind.  Smiley

Hi Vertigo2u:

I don't like high winds either Sad This weekend was +15 mph winds so couldn't fly. I suppose winds will get better as the weather gets warmer. Eastern is around the corner. (a long Weekend  Smiley ) Hope to have lower winds so I can fly in this long weekend.
