Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Some of you may remember Alain Gignon, a sometimes visitor to the old GWTW forum. It is with sadness that I report the news of his passing Tuesday, 6/23 after a serious illness.

He had a huge role in promoting the Tricks Party competition discipline in Germany and was an enthusiastic supporter of our sport. Though I never had the pleasure of meeting Alain in person we talked often by email and pm over the years. We had lost touch and now this sad news.

Condolences and prayers for his family.

Damn.

Sad news indeed.  Alain was a nice guy, and a great help to TP-USA when we were trying to get it off the ground.

He worked with me on the tutorials I was able to translate to German and French. A true joy to know and work with. He'll be missed.
