One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

None...I learned something from every one I ever had.

Most times it was me the flyer and not the kite, so I never blamed the kite!

I don't think a kite would go into production if it had all the problems everyone has listed.

There are plenty of bad ones out there. Most of them are beginner packages and of course the Level 7. Most responses I've seen list the Prism 3D and it's still around.

A good kite is not just about flight characteristics but components used, quality of the sail, assembly time, replacement parts, ect.

Some people do because of poor beginner packages. Those are the ones who never buy a kite again because they weren't around experience fliers. Even good kite companies are guilty of this.

Seeing as how I've already defended the honor of the L7, the kite that already saved the world if you weren't paying attention, it seemed appropriate to do likewise for the Alien. They both debuted in the same year afterall.

It's a fun kite, especially with the trick line off.

Also, the Alien was a big disappointment.

If you bought the kite from Tim,Call him and he will get you flying.
If you bought it used, ask the person what he did to the kite. (then e-mail Tim about the problem!)
The first time I ever knew about a Gemini not being able to fly.

I'm probably putting myself in front of the firing squad but I really hated the Backtracker.  It's the one reason why I never got into quads.

Heh, no, I think you'll find there's a vast amount of people who didn't like the Backtracker.   Cheesy

If you can't keep the Gem in the sky an Exile won't help you.
