One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The L7 needs no defending.

It's the greatest kite ever designed.

Oh I forgot about this one.

 Vented Jam Session.

I have the original HQ Jam Session and that is still a great kites. I learned that some great kite don't transition well into great vented kites.  The vented Jam is a stinker. The bridle is much different and doesn't behave well. So I made a bridle duplicate to the Jam Session and it was worse.  The vented Jam is a big disappointment.

Glad I wasn't drinking any liquids after reading that statement. That's a definite Pepsi thru the nose and on to the monitor. I will be laughing for days on that one.

Skippy's point was that buying one Benson leads to another, then another, and another, thus emptying the bank account. Wink
I'm still not seeing the downside here.  Grin

Don't regret any, especially not my L7 but there's plenty I do count my lucky stars I tried someone else's first. Special mentions go to a 'friday afternoon' French Connection and the Mohawk.

I'm probably putting myself in front of the firing squad but I really hated the Backtracker.  It's the one reason why I never got into quads.

I traded once for a CR Fury .85 - one fly of that was quite enough to persuade me to move it on again.

Acrobatx never found a wind range it liked, would tip wrap at the slightest provocation, and broke so often that I could have just bought a proper kite for all the replacement part costs I incurred. It and its cheap, heavy, and obnoxiously fragile pultruded frame (with several proper Avia components) is now a wall decoration.
