One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Designs posted in order that they were posted to the submission phase thread.  I have taken all designs and done my best to build a clear template version of each of them (some submitted by designer).  My goal was to give equal representation of all designs.  I've also included the initial color submitted for each design if provided.

Vote for your top 3 (in no particular order).  No results will be seen until the end, and you cannot change your votes.  For now, all designs will be designated by number.  Should there be a tie, I will make the final vote since I will be building the kite.  Thanks for every designer's input.  10 days to vote starting from today!

I have always been a huge fan of Scott Hampton designs and #23 & #24 remind me a lot of his styles.  Those are my choices. Smiley

Scott's work is certainly nice.  My wife would approve of 3; she would not appreciate 4  Cheesy

Nothing really strikes me, but if I had to pick 1, It would be 17.

#3 would be my first pick as a beautiful work of art & a prized pice of my collection. I would almost be afraid to fly it too often, except on rare occasions in gentle winds ...for fear of damaging it.

#5 and #21 would be nice 'classic' designs that wouldn't be too difficult to make ...plus would lend themselves nicely to alternative color arrangements!

For example #21 could be paneled like this:

#1, #6 and #21. All are really cool though.

Designs 7 and 23 have tied for first place.  Keeping in mind the build process, I am choosing 7 as the winning design. Congratulations DMF (Dana).

A solid design. Congrats.

Looking forward to the build.

Do you know the colors you will be using?

I'm still waiting to hear back from Dana about his personal color choice... I'm leaning towards this:

I don't have many (or any) yellow kites at this moment... and I have some left over slate colored PC31 that I want to use.  I'll likely also have black pin striping on the seams.

Well.... There might be a reason for that... They are from his sketchbook!

So have you come up with a name for the design yet?

It's a good match of colors.

Here is my Volplane SUL (a gift for naming the kite) in a similar color scheme:
