One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Yep, themes are nice  Smiley I've become quite a fan of Skyburner's latest designs.  JonT and Kmac both understand the plight of the inland flyer.

I have the SUL and just made up a set of 2PT lower spreaders to carry along and extend the wind range a bit.  The ZA LSs start to bend well before the LEs.

Nice Colors Doug.

My new Aura UL matches the colors on my Custom Solus STD.

I'm kind of doing the same. I'm planning to get me a Solus that matches the colors of my Aura.  Smiley

definitely go for the comp version, the standard version is hands down the lower model. All the new people at GH that flew that comp this weekend that have't flown one before really really enjoyed it and prefer it to the original model. Something to consider.

Steve you have a pic of yours?

Also Jorge I haven't asked, which knots have you been flying on?

Thanks  adx1592.

I'll take your advice about the Solus.

About the winds. I mostly fly in low winds condition (most of my kites are Rated UL). For tricks I prefer from 3-6 Knots. Most of my videos are in that range. When below 3 Knots, I like to fly my Aura UL or my Airwave Zero.

I prefer to fly at night:

  • I don't have to worry about the sun.
  • Normally winds at night are in the low range.
  • Is not as hot.

Hi Stapp59.

Like your kites.  They look like  Yin Yang inspired.  Smiley

You just gave me the idea Maybe I should get a pair of SkyShark II Zero Air for a lower spreader and a 2 mm solid carbon bar for the upper spreader make my Aura closer to the SUL.  Smiley

Thanks Jorge.

Assym black and white has been around for a long time.  Some things are worth repeating  Smiley

Not sure about pairing lighter LSs with the heavier LEs. Its usually the other way around as the LSs normally will bend before the LEs as the winds increase.  You can always try it if you have the tubes. Remember there is more carbon in the LEs (4 tubes) than in the LSs (2 tubes) if you are looking to save weight.  For me I was looking for added strength at the expense of a little weight.

Cheers,
Steve
