One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Anyone have experience repairing foil cells?  Need to pull it out and inspect, but I'm pretty sure I need part of an 8 re-sewn.  I am not confident nor capable of doing it myself.  Curious if flexifoil offers repairs, or if anyone on the board is comfortable taking on such a task?

I'll grab pics when I pull it out.

Flexifoil does offer repair services, but as they are located in the UK, you'll take a bit of a burn on the shipping.

Companies that specialize in foil repairs in the US include:

FixMyKite (Corpus Christi, TX)
Powerzone Kitesports (Bellingham, WA)
Windfire Designs (Gainesville, FL)

Google will get you the appropriate websites.  Most will provide an estimate, if you email them photos as well as let you know what their backlog/turnaround time is.

Thanks Sam.  Looks like I have an option in my own backyard with Powerzone.  How's that for luck!

Life is like that sometimes.   Wink

John Elkins of Powerzone does good work and is a straight shooter.  Give him my regards.

I'm curious how it turns out.  I have an old icarex version of the Pro-Team that I've needed to get fixed for years, just never got around to it.
