Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

These would be kites you couldn't part with.  I would imagine these would be irreplaceable or would take a lot of $$$ for you to part with.

My whole Aerie collection (3 Air FX, 3 K3s, 4 Mystics, 2 Diablos) (except for the K2).

If I went back to competing I'd get out the K3s.   If those sails wore out I would have to switch to a different brand and I can't afford over $200-$300 a pop for new kites since I would prefer fly Blue Moon Kites or Phantom Elites.

Benson Phantom Elite (I got this for a $100)

I doubt I'll every get another one at that price. It woudl probably be my 2nd choice for competing but they are not cheap.

Flexifoil Matrix (1 standard, 1 UL)

To me they are over rated kites except in the hands of the Robertshaws but no way would I sell them. You can't get those anymore.

Spirit of Air Omega SX

Designed by Dodd Gross. You can't even find this kite on google. It's a great mid size kite and got reacquainted with it today. It's great in winds that are not strong enough for vented kites.

I guess these would be the kites I would rescue first in a fire.

But you can find the Omega XS. Could they be perhaps related ?  Wink

Last to leave for me will be the one and only applique Dot Matrix but none of the Robertshaw Blue Eyed kites are leaving.

Mine is purple. I was going to take a picture of it today but when I brought the camera, I forgot to put batteries in it.

I'm sure you can find any kite, but today I looked at S of A website and they don't have anything that resembles it. I have a couple of their other kites that are no longer made.

Most of my kites I think were bought in the last century. I'm really out of touch with what's new.

If you have a Spirit of Air kite, named Omega, co-designed by Dodd Gross and with the letters X and S somewhere in the name's suffix.... then you have an Omega XS.

The only reference I can find to an Omega SX is by someone called kitekrazy posting to rec.kites in January 2007.  Wink

The Omega XS was passably popular 10~11 years ago, did OK on the UK comp. scene.
