Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

That made me go watch the whole video to see how he did it.  What is being tied midway through rolling up the sail?

I guess it is the leader lines that he rolls in his hands and then places them in the sail for the last part of roll-up.
Krijn uses really long leader lines. He built my Sixth Sense with these really long (150-160cm) leader lines.

What I found strange was that he first takes off the upper spreader...  Huh
I always start by taking the tension away from the sail by loosening the stand-offs and then taking off the US.

Cheers,

N.

I was putting the US and the LS with the LE and rolling the LE up to the standoffs.  This left the standoffs outside the fabric.  Starting on the Standoff side tucks them into the sail.
