One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

From the fade position the JL is Lateral roll - backflip - half lazy susan - then pull into fade and repeat.  Quite a hard trick to learn.

It helps to have a kite that's good with rotations. Some are better than others. The Fearless loves JLs. The Deeps Space takes more effort.

Yep.  The DS std backflip timing is important.  Still does them very nicely though.  Timing on the DS UL is even more critical.

You can learn the JL in stages. Learn these two tricks first.

1. Start with a fade launch and you do 1/2 a barrow roll to fly up and off.
1a. Learn the fade from the fade launch.
2. Learn the backspin.

The JL is a combo of the skils of these two tricks.

Dont doubt yourself and keep practicing

Forget about the JL for now and just concentrate on each seperate element and have fun doing them

Remember the JL is just a combo of a bunch of singular tricks (backflip/turtle - then lazy susan - then a pull to Fade - then a lat roll) ...once you get better at each one...try to link just two of them (backflip to lazy etc) ...then progress to three...etc etc

Getting ready for the next input AS the kite finishes one trick is a good key to remember too

GL and keep practicing Smiley
