Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

OK.... it wasn't my intention to drag this issue along and start the flaming. My apologies.

Let's hope that interest in kiting will grow over the coming years. I think we can all agree on that.

I for one would like to know why John resigned.

Itchy feet?  I don't know, but it came soon after iQuad disbanded.  Now John and TK are traveling extensively, probably a lifestyle choice  Smiley

iQuad announced their retirement over a year ago and their final performance was last September, before John took on the AKA Pres role. I think John hoped to be able to devote a lot of post-iQuad energy to the AKA.

As I mentioned, the "new" John at the AKA, John Lutter, is a very good man for the job. If you haven't been to the AKA site and seen the new forum, check it out. http://kite.org/ There is a big membership push in the works and I think it bodes well for the organization and kiting in general.

Thanks thief. Being relatively new here, I guess I've got to get the lay-of-the-land and find out what to talk about that won't fan the flames.  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

JB was elected AKA President in 2012 - he took over at the Enid, Oklahoma convention.

When I created and admin'd the Kawasaki Vulcan Bagger Forum several years ago, small misunderstandings would grow into huge flame throwers in a matter of minutes. Motorcycle guys have a propensity to do that.

Maybe I perceived a problem coming prematurely. My bad.

I must have lost a year somewhere. I thought it was 2013. I kinda stopped paying attention to AKA politics. Should have thought before I posted
