One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

Does anyone have any information about who built these two kites? The second picture is the nose detail of the kite in the first picture.
The other kite appears to be made of Carrington fabric, but there's no builders tag or signature.

It looks like maybe the builder of the black & yellow kite was trying to build induced curve into the nose section.

There was several builders that did variations, I think even Peter Betancourt experimented with induced curve in the nose.

I can't quite put my finger on the builder though, might be a small/local builder that didn't get a lot of distribution.

Here's a few more pics of the 10 footer to see if anyone recognizes the construction details.

The black thing..... Any chance it might have been made by banshee? The nose looks sort of like a scimitar spine termination....

Very cool, thank you.

The construction on the black kite is primitive compared to the Banshee. The spine doesn't continue to the nose on this kite, which allows a lot of flex.
