We still have a few spots remaining but the time for registration (by July 31st) is approaching. Please see the update below:
Hello again! Please read this update carefully.
We have some good news on the kite project options! Looks like Robert will be able to support both the Waifs train (which was the #1 choice overall) as well as the Butterfly kite project (the #2 overall choice) during the workshop. The Wind Auger was the overwhelming choice for the “kinetic”.
** Now that the voting is in and the project choices finalized, Robert has asked that we provide him our color choices by the end of this week (by July 13th)!
Please email back to Kip or Carl with the following information. * Also, if you have not yet sent in your registration fee, please do so soon or by the end of July at the latest.
1. Your project selections (Waifs only, Butterfly only, option of both and no kinetic, or kite project and Auger project). What this means is that you have options! The Waifs is a 1-2 day project depending on how many you choose to complete. The Butterfly is 1.5-2.0 days to complete and the Kinetic a 1 day project (less if you complete just a blade or two during the workshop and finish at home).
2. Kite Choice and Colors (the Waifs are the rainbow scheme)
The Butterfly can be one of the three options on Robert’s website (link - http://www.robertbrasingtonkites.com/Workshops.php
) or ANY color choices you might prefer (the Butterfly has six colors). You might look over his website for inspiration!
3. Kinetic Colors (generally three colors graduating to black as the forth - your choice!)
Finally, you also have the option of purchasing additional kits if you prefer. You will simply trace to paper the templates required and make cardboard templates at home. This applies to the Waifs if you are not able to complete all during the workshop, but also to Butterfly or kinetic kits.
Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks and we are looking forward to the workshop and your visit!
