Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I've noticed some stores, including some of the sponsors to the right have places to enter coupon or discount codes during checkout.
Are there any of those codes available on here to forum members?
one for into the wind would be great!

Many stores will honor a 10% discount if you are an active AKA member.

You can always ask.

I've never used a coupon or discount code for my purchases, but when I

was an AKA member (not any longer), I was given the 10% off.

Kite stores operate on a marginal profit system.

If you'd like to help support the kite store, don't ask for the discount.

Just a thought.

My opinion would be to call them to place your order. Tell them you saw their add on the Gone With The Wind Forum and ask about any available discounts. They might say no but doing so will show them that their advertising and support of "The Forum" brings in customers. Nothing lost and their continued support is what keeps the forum alive.

I am an AKA member and with the 10% discounts and the stuff I bought, I am way ahead of the game as far as saving money. AKA discounts well worth the membership.
