I may have the chance to get a good used SF 2.5 Vented and just wondered what others think of it? I've read it's quite a good vented ....it's been rather windy here lately and I'm looking for something that fits between my standards getting to fast (15mph) and being strong enough to make the Delta Hawk fun (20mph+).  Not many of them over here in the UK.

Cheers.

I had a set of Silver Foxen and liked the Vented 2.5 quite a lot. It uses an innovative one-way vent in the lower centre of the keel that closes when the kite is on its back, so it floats better in the Turtle than a vented usually does.

IMHO the SF vented starts to fly well in 15mph and reaches it's sweet spot around 20mph. I like the kite but don't get to fly it much as it requires some strong wind.

I too was impressed with the one-way keel venting.

Plus, it looks good.

Hi,

The 2.5 vented is a great kite for the beginner to learn high wind flying, whilst there is a large sail area the kite moves slowly because of it weight and venting it,s  a great kite for a person who has not ever attempted tricks in high wind. However the  Soul vented has a higher performance to tricks than the 2.5,. The Soul vented is great kite for people who can do advanced tricks. Just my opinion!!

Cheers

I got outbid on the Silver Fox at the last minute!  I have a Soul with a mid vent conversion but it still get pretty quick when the wind really gets up - great kite in sensible winds though!
