Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

John,

Thank you for posting the pictures.  I had a great day at a great park, with people I haven't seen in a while.  Grin

Just an update after flying the New Overpeck Park with some Lam Stunt Kites = TWICE.

1. If the winds are from the dead West stay home. Very bumpy from the Ridgefield Park town tree line 1/4 mile away even on the 40 acre GREAT LAWN opposite edge. If the winds are from the dead East not sure with the Fort Lee skyline about 1/4 mile away across the river? This wind flow is the most rare at this spot.

2. Winds from the SW or SE you are virtually at the beach.

3. Winds from the NE you are virtually at the beach.

4. Winds from the NW a little chop but not much just avoid the hill and fly at the opposite end of Great Lawn.

Bring an SUL for 7-8 PM flights as expected. Look for winds above 5 mph at 4-8 PM slot after work. If less than 5 mph stay home IMO.

So NE,N,NW or SE,S or SW at 5-12 mph your good as Liberty State Park - guaranteed OR BETTER. Avoid dead west or maybe dead E? (TBD).
