Hey Chook, do the rods still have the ridges on them? If you need a couple of X wrap verts let me know. I could have some spare.

By "X wrap" I meant 2 or 3, nothing untoward. Let me know. Post inside WA is pretty good.

This is my rods. You can see how corrugated they are. If you run your finger nail down them they really make a noise.

They are Rev rods and even under the stickers you can see the ridges.

You can see how it wears the heavy duty clear tape.

Thanks for the offer Rob, but the tape seems to take care of the nasty rash. Sad

Looks like every Rev rod ever.

Seems like people who fly a LOT, like iQuad did, get sail damage from stretching over many hundreds of hours of flight time so the Pro Revs add reinforcement to keep the sail from stretching. Most of my Revs are over 15 years old and even though the've not been flown nearly as much as some, wear from the vertical spars and/or stretching isn't a problem.

Oh Ok.
Yes my other rods still have the spiral pattern,  but not this aggressively sharp saw tooth ridging.

After reading this post I will just sand the teeth off and respray to seal.

Thanks guys.
