Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Nice editing on your video. It shows the kite very well. Makes me want to get the tripod and camera out.

I did a double take and had to pull out a picture of my Joel Scholz bat, somewhat similar!

It's always good to see a Dutch design make its appearance abroad.

The official name for the kite is: Vluis

So could one buy this kite, or are there just  plans for the home builder to build one?

Aww thanks Kevin.  Grin

Get the state land sailing championships out of the way and I might have to make some bat shaped sails. Wink

Be aware, the vluis is original designed by Kees Buurman, a dutch artist, and is free to built. Eric Siaw took these plans and made some changes to improve the control over the kite (shape of the kite, bridle).  He published on facebook a very detailed photo shoot over the making. The result ..... Well you saw the video.... 👍👍
