One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I fully appreciate the ability of trees to attract kites. They have special powers that way.

Lynn and I plan to arrive on August 15th and stay until the 31st.

Great event, nice town with good places to eat out if you wish, and lots of room to fly, fly, fly.

Maybe that requires a correction......I'm sure I heard that, but maybe it was the longest beach on this continent...........Does ninety mile beach mean that you could drive a car from one end to the other without encountering rocks or chasms anywhere?

It is the longest beach in the "Western Hemisphere" and not "in the world".

Mike and I will be there the 15th to the 23rd. I cannot wait to get there and have nice ocean winds to fly in. I just love walking the boardwalk and going thru town. Been a lot of changes over the years but, still can't beat it. Over the entrance to the beach it does state the worlds longest beach. That is uninterupted beach no reefs or anything. You can drive on the beach from one end to the other the full 28 miles.

Jim

I don't know if you are allowed to drive the entire length, but it is one continuous, uninterrupted beach.   There are many, many long beaches here in Oz.  Cable Beach in Western Australia is 14 miles completely drivable. The beach on Younghusband Peninsula is around 70 miles, 4 wheel drivable.  Eastern side of Fraser Island (Queensland) is about 50 miles drivable.

Sadly, my local beach is only 4 miles long - completely drivable  Grin
