Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Since we can only have 1 wife,

we have many kites.

If we could have several wives for various conditions,

we would only need 1 kite.  Smiley

Old school vs. New school kites/spouses

New school kites go on their back with very little encouragement, but they tend to be less graceful and curvy.

Old school kites can be powerful and elegant, but you have to pay attention and treat them right when things get tricky.

You may be right.  Wonder if the wife is up to 2 to 3 hours of practice a day?

Very nice! These Scholz designs are still among the prettiest kites in the sky and they fly wonderfully.

That one looks pristine!
The set that I last saw Ray Bethell flying was quite faded from hundreds (thousands?) of hours of flying.

It is skb... it was purchased new back in 2000, but never was flown and sat in a bag all these years. Only taken out to take these pics. The original owner got out of flying right after he bought it.
