Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Tested out a little plastic homemade Rokkaku with the kids:

(Can't get a flickr link to work between the img brackets--has that http_s_ and I'm not sure how to get around it yet)

Fixed it for ya. Cheers-thief

Cool!  I'll save the code for next time...

Think it was one of the Horvaths. I like to slope soar in very light breezes at the RC glider slope soar spot. S'fun!

I managed a last 2014 fly on the 28th.

The weather has been shocking in the UK for flying with far too much wind interspersed by odd days of no wind whatsoever.  Must have been my first fly for three months and it was good to get out even if the wind was horribly gusty.

My weapon of choice was a recently acquired second hand Magnet.

Yup! I'm 35.62 N,  86.75 W @ 680 ft

a place called Chapel Hill Tn. lots of bugs  hot humid, lots of trees and bugs,  frontal storms  blow up from the south that causes lighting storms and bugs........

But we got  a nice home on a 1/2 acre lot HUGE  oversize garage with a granny/ kite guest room above that in town  .... and I'm milling out logs from the timber I cut a few years back to build another log home on my other 10 acre lot up the rd. in Maury county

god fearing gun loving folks.. I now shoot/hunt and blow stuff up   river fish when I can

...did I mention lots of BUGS?

Ha!  Am directly north of you in IN just SE of Lake Michigan.  Not as much summer heat, humidity and bugs as you but plenty of those.  MUCH more snow in winter than you.  Parents grew up in NW Kentucky midway towards you and we spent many summers there.  Chiggers in tall grass Ugh!

The joy of inland winds. Need wind efficient kites.  Finally got a VP  Smiley

Cheers,
Steve

I bought my land back in 1991 for when I decide to slow down, save some money and build me a log cabin... Ca was getting a bit overwhelming, stupid gun laws, bad politicians, water was drying up... so all the signs added up to get out .............
