Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Does the old forum exist online in any archived format any more?  I know it did for a while.  Is it gone-gone at this point never to return or is there a link to an archived site?

The database that was the old forum resides on a hard drive here on my desk (actually on several).
I am still thinking that we may be able to make this content available at some point.
As I mentioned earlier my biggest concern is the private nature of some of the information that is contained in that database.

I would vote for tips, reviews, specs, and how to's and maybe some of the links to other kite related information.

I don't think the banter and personal comments need to be included.

Maybe some stuff from the swap meet, mainly any descriptions and pictures of the varies kites changing hands,

the price the kites were offered/sold might help others to associate value to theirs

Actually all pictures of kites would be nice also, for reference.

Sounds like a lot of work, but it has always been such a great reference, and I certainly appreciate all the time and effort you have devoted to the forum of the years Steve

Just throwing in a nickle to get back 3 penny's
