One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I'm trying to make an overseas purchase and the seller (Christian Derefat) prefers to use BIC IBAN for a wire transfer.  I have no idea where to start.  Does anyone have any info or has done it before?

get his IBAN & transfer numbers and and go to your bank (try to have these printed out in an email from C. in case the numbers are wrong then they are from him not you transcribing them)....you need the international transfer department....
probably going to cost you about 25-30$ or so to do it....qnd about 3-4 days to process....

i prefer paypal...INSTANT and you can pay in the receivers monetary units so there is also no transfer fees....

Yeah, I would also encourage you to do it via PayPal.  Transferring money in the EU is easy, but from the US...it's expensive.  You don't want to spend half the cost of the sail on sending the payment.

I could get someone from Holland to take the money via PayPal and then send it on via a bank to bank transfer to Chrisitiaan.  Let me know if you need some help hooking this up.  Actually, now that I think of it...I could probably do it for you as well.  My wife and I both have active NL accounts, as well as a joint one.

Talk to Christiaan to see if he minds.  If not, then shoot me an email and we can discuss options.
