Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

This is basically the kite the Synchro was derived from.  It's in Herb's notes about bridles.  So are these picked up direct from Dean?

I thought it was the other way around.

The Millennium was derived from the Synchro?

I thought Herb was flying these, maybe it was the X-1, before he came up with the Synchro.

they are not available yet....but the plan is for them to be....only available from one place though (not GWTW)...and i have idea what the price might be.......

Is it OK to shoot a moderator ?!?!

What manner of blasphemy is this ! Millennium came first; the Synchro is but a knock off derivative Johnny-come-lately Xerox of the original.

Mike,  Tongue
had a Millennium, has a Synchro.

JimB and zippy8 at odds with each other!!!  Shocked

How come the Synchro always seems to get the ink if the Millennium was first?

This is like wondering if Mighty Mouse could beat SuperMan in a fair fight.

Herb built the Synchro to absolute lowest weight possible at the time.  He also matched every spars weight from one side of the kite to the other for a perfect balance.  IIRC he weighed spars, on a jeweler's scale, to the nearest .01 of a gram.   Huh    My guess was QC was top notch with one and OK with the other.

My Synchro has the spar weights painted on but only to one decimal place. I like a good bit of kite legend but let's not get carried away here  Wink

Of course if you want to be really picky then you'd assess each spar's stiffness as well as mass.

I'm sure Dean's absolutely sick of every time the Millennium gets spoken about, the Synchro gets brought up too. I'll be following developments at Air Jordan and thinking about getting one of these new, old kites.

Mike.
